We had another crazy week here in Pichidegua; it never stops surprising us. On Tuesday morning, my companion and I raised up the Chilean flag outside of the curch- independance day (week) is this week! We're going to eat so much food, we're already preparing our stomachs for all the empanadas and sopaipillas we're going to eat. So we're definitely looking forward to this week!
On Thursday we took the bikes out to a little pueblo wayyyyy out in the middle of nowhere called Patagua. It was pretty cool, and we got such a leg workout- we haven't been able to walk normally since then! It's crazy how the wind changes direction so that it's always a headwind. It was kind of frustrating, but we got a good workout!
I think I told you about Juan Pardo last week. He's the black magician who wants to change, and he's reading the Book of Mormon. He's reading really fast, and he understands all of it! The other day he read through Mosiah, and asked us if he could be baptized in the waters of Mormon! (Mosiah 18) Hahaha, it was crazy! So we're helping him progress, and answering some of the questions he has, and we're excited to keep visiting him.
On Friday we had to go home early because in Chile it's some student riot day, and even though nothing happened in Pichidegua, we had to go home and chill in the house until bedtime. So Elder Hwang and I watched Meet the Mormons and made some completos, and we enjoyed the evening, haha.
And I totally took pictures this week! But the computer I'm at doesn't have a USB input... So I'll send pictures next week!
Oh and this is the last week of the transfer, so on Saturday we'll be getting a call that will tell us if one of us is leaving Pichidegua :( These last 6 weeks have flown by with Elder Hwang!
I hope everyone has a great week, and thanks for the emails!
Love,
Elder Hamilton
